In continuation with my last post, I have been wracking my brain, trying to figure out how to get the word out about my friend Roxy beyond her Facebook page. After some thought and discussion, I have decided to start a advertising campaign. Beyond putting banners on my bikes, I am also going to accost Craigslist (and a few other sites) and try to figure out some effective paid advertising as well.
That requires funds. And, I'm still jobless.
Remember the machines I had for sale earlier in the year to raise funds to buy Scarlett, my scooter? Well, I still have most of them. And I'm willing to entertain reasonable offers plus S&H...and may even be willing to let go of a few other machines from my collection. Two of these machines are pending homes; I will update and let everyone know for certain if they go.
This one may be spoken for.
Still need some work on the mainspring of this one, but it's about 95%. Has ink and pencil, too!
This one is a fixer-upper.
I really like this one. It has a really pretty leather case and I'm not sure I wanna get rid of it. XD
Love a wedge!
I'd rather not ship this one, because the shipping would be obscene. Any local takers?
Please stop by 'A Kidney for Roxy' on Facebook (linked above) and show my bestie some love!
Thank you guys. You rock!
Good to see your posts again. Sorry about your job situation and Roxy"s Kidney. Not able to help at the moment, but I will not be forgetting.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Bill. Long time no talk! I'm glad to be back around again, too.Delete
No matter the situation, I try to remain optimistic. It has gotten me through a lot in life, and probably saved me some frown lines in the process *laughs* So, I'm hoping for the best.
Being in Australia puts me out of the running for either of the Olivers which I'd otherwise be very curious about. This visit to your blog reminds me however that I need to add you to my reading list.ReplyDelete
The thing that I remember most about being unemployed for a period myself, was the feeling of regret once I got a job, about how much cool productive stuff I never got around to doing while unemployed and how much more I could have enjoyed that period of my life if I had've. So as funny as it might sound, make the most of it while it lasts- it sounds like you're already that doing much better than I did!
I have been kicking that around actually, Steve. And, I have decided that I want to freelance as opposed to taking on a conventional 9 to 5 again, because I know, like you,Delete
I'd regret it. I'd rather be able to set my own hours and do the things I want and need to do instead of being hole up in an office or something.
Please do add me to your list. It's good to see you here!
This may be a shot in the dark, but do you still have any of these for sale?ReplyDelete
Hi Kate! I do still have some of them, though there are some I've moved to my antique booth, too. Which ones are you interested in?Delete
I know this is really late and I do apologize, but do you still have the Oliver near the top of the page? Thanks.ReplyDelete
